Winner, winner

Let me first say, I have never watched American Idol. Maybe a finale here and therebut never religiously watched.  Well, this seaon was different because I was obsessed, I mean obsessed with

Phillip Phillips

This obsession began during auditions. I was blown away with his take on Thriller. Seriously y'all watch it.  CHILLS!  He immediately became my number one man. I continued to watch him and even though I didn't 100% believe he would take home a win at the end of it all, I knew he'd walk out of Idol being one of the only ones (if not the only one) people paid any attention to a year from now.
I wanted him to win so, so bad!

He is so humble, so incredibly deserving, and I must say he is sexy (in an incredibly cute incredibly awkward kinda way)!! Gah, I LOVE him!!

I'm pretty sure the last CD I bought was like my junior year of high school but I will be the first in line to purchase his! Alright, maybe the first one to download it...

Nonetheless, I can't wait!!

PHILLIP PHILLIPS for the WIN!

Don't you just love when good things happen to good people?!

HAPPY THURSDAY!

NOLA

I am freakin' LOVING plans for this weekend.

My friend Kati is getting married and we're celebrating in New Orleans.

SO excited to party with the bride!

Hands down, NO is my favorite city to party in America. It's like Vegas but WAAYY better because no one gives a darn what you're wearing, what you do, how hard you party, or how much money you spend.  In fact, one reason I love this town is because it always manages to be a pretty cheap weekend. (esp when you cram 7 girls into the same room - who care? you're in your room for a total of about 9 hours all weekend - MAX.)

So anyway....we're leaving Friday and I am BEYOND pumped about this little trip I will be taking with some of my favorite friends!

Who the heck are these nasty men we are hanging on? Who know?  Who cares! It's NOLA!

We sure did pay that dang carney about $100 for those balloon hats that lastest ab 2 minutes.
Made for a fun pic at least!

These ladies will all be partying it up in NO this weekend! plus 6 more! Woo!

See...grungy-ish clothes and NO ONE cares! It's NOLA!

And not that I could ever really choose, but one of my favorite things about NOLA...

These!

MMMM...can't wait to be sipping on of these bad boys Saturday morning.
Perfect cure for a bad hang over!

In other news....

I'm loving that our save the dates are here!
Most of them are addressed and should be in mailboxes by Monday!

I'm loving we finished out wedding website, a task I didn't really care much about and a task that took too long in my opinion. You can check it out here: http://www.travisandmandell.com/

I am loving (and hating just a little bit) that we're so close to summer! I have so much to finish packing in my classroom but I sure do love my babies!

I was loving eating like a total pig this weekend!
However, I was loathing the results.

Well, a 7 day cleanse cut short by two days because obviously Cajun food and countless drinks don't exactly cleanse your body...
Going to have to restart this cleanse after the 6 pounds I pack on in Nawlins.

I must say though, so far so good! In two days I'm down just over 4 pounds. I'm a believer!
I found this cleanse on pinterest, duh!

I love finding outfit inspiration on pinterest. Outfits are probably my favorite thing to pin and the pins I reference most often.

This was one of my very first pins ever...ahhh..so nostalgic.
I love the color combo for spring. Chartreuse is always a fave of mine and I was dying to reproduce this.

Obviously, my take on it isn't as flawless as the above pic but it worked! I seriously love the outfit and can't wait to add a fedora to it this summer!
sorry, two for one here - I'm collaging outfit pics every few days for a album I plan to show my daughter one day (should we have one)

love/not so much love

I am loving that there is only 10 more days of school left. How is that even possible?
I am loving that everything is winding down and summer is within reach.

I am not loving that this part of my life is closing. Not teaching next year will be...bizarre. I don't even know what to think about it.  It seems so "freeing" but when I think more about it I know come August my heart will be aching to greet 20-some-odd new babies.

I am loving that I'm going out with my favorite teachers this afternoon.

I am however, absolutely hating that the reason for said dinn is a "farewell" to me.  It is WAYY to soon to be saying goodbye!

I am loving that T is looking at houses tomorrow! Let's play a little "House Hunters" shall we?

I am SO NOT loving that I can't be there.  We have to get this ball rolling though, him going this week without me will hopefully put us on the fast track in a couple weeks when we "seriously" go look. He better take extensive video footage of each house...

I am loving this canvas I got in the mail! The worn out denim adds a certian Bruce Springsteen charm don't you think?? LOVE IT!

I am loving this devil angel girl. And I'm pretty sure she is loving all these back to back weekends of being in town.

I am loving labeling all my classroom boxes with "Mrs. Urbo".  A little premature sure, but the next time I open them I'll be a Mrs. Urbo afterall - putting Ms. Landin will surely confuse any custodians right? Yes.

I am loving that this beautiful couple, Bill and Claudia, got engaged this past weekend! I am also loving that she caught the bouquet at the wedding just the weekend before. She had no idea at the time but I was dying over the irony! Add it to our 2013 wedding list!! YESSSS!

Speaking of weddings, I am loving that I have 2 more fun weddings and another bachlorette party on the books in the next month.

But I must say, I am loving that we only have 2 more weddings this summer. Then it's a mad dash to our big day! WOOO!

I are loving how true these words are.

And it reminds me how much I am always loving Rockport. Why is it that being close to the ocean/bay makes you feel a little closer to heaven?

I am NOT loving that we have no free time to get down there.

I am loving this addition to my wrist (the bracelet) simple and one sale at Dill! Win!

I am loving this app. Can you tell?

I think I am loving the idea of not having my wedding band be flush against my engagement ring.  I think. Thoughts??
i think this is from pinterest? snapped a screen shot of it on my phone.

I am loving how sweet T is. You would not believe the thought and consideration he put into his "groomsmen descriptions" for our wedding website. He is such an incredible friend, as this picture indicates...
bahaha...Mr. Daniel had a bit too much to drink. Mr. Daniel may also be a reality TV star soon. That's a show I'll def watch!
but really, I am so proud to call him mine.

Howevee...I am almost hating that he put so much effort into the site.  He's going to make me look like I totally hate my girl friends. In fact, it'll be a shocker if I even put a smidge of effort into our website. Thanks Trav for making me look like a total under achiever.

I am loving life in general and as always, counting down the days until I get to live less than 100 miles from T!

That's all for today! Happy Wednesday!

Little Lady

This weekend we celebrated Ms. Charlotte Wynn (my favorite niece) and her mama Tracy (my SIL).

I LOVE any excuse to put together a cute shower but this one was especially special.  We have waited for a little Landin for some time now. Besides becoming a Mrs. becoming an aunt is a title I have always dreamed about. I couldn't wait to put something together for Tracy!

Tracy has always loved ladybugs. The second she announced she was preggo I hoped for a little girl for numerous reasons including but not limited to massive bows and tutus, but I have always wanted to throw a ladybug themed shower for her!

Here's a glimpse of the shower we had for Ms. C-Dub and Tracy!

I loved the cute little ladybugs everywhere!

Poofs. Aren't they just the greatest?!

My SILs and mama.

C-Dub's bassinet!
My grandmother slept in this sweet little bassinet, all of her children and grandchildren did and now the tradition continues.  I can not wait to put our little Urbo in there (one day)!

happy, happy LOVE

(ignore the smudged board, that would be the handwork of a certain rowdy pup)

Pictures are in! I wish we could have arranged in our busy schedule to take our pics with our wedding photographer, Erin Woolsey at ee photography but I think it will make having her AH-mazing pictures of our wedding day that more special.  Check out her work...so much talent!

Even thought I was pretty annoyed with our engagement session (not ee photog just to clarify) I have to admit, I love some of the pictures the phptog we used got. And while it didn't go exactly as planned I know (much to Trav's chagrin) there are lots of professional pics in our future! Like every year? Yes.

Plus, looking at these pictures is pretty funny to us now.  Those smiles and laughs?? All the result of two very annoyed people laughing at what an idiot our photog was finding the silver lining.

notice my mad publisher skills? ha. dying to get photoshop!

 LOVE those sweet pups.
 and that sweet guy

 awk.
and just as soon as i have photoshop, this will say "ten five" (our wedding date) not "one ten"

Now for the pics we took just for fun with Trav's cousin, Sarah Ann, and uncle, Buddy, as our photogs! This, unlike our  other experience was a lot of fun! And I seriously LOVE how they turned out! I had too much fun playing around editing them.

And I'll close with what is probably T's favorite pic of them all. I had no idea he was doing this. He's quite the funny one that T...

Speaking of funny...there's quite a few of those too. I think they'll need a post of their own though!
